After all this time looking for new RAM upgrades and buying four 4GB sticks, I just realised that I could've just bought two 8GB modules. Looks like I will need to find a way to sell them.
But you'll benefit from the quadro line. So instead of having only 2400MHz X2, you can have 2400MHz X 4. Which will increase your gaming performance a bit. 8=D
Hazzahead,
Mind sharing which rams you were looking at? If you're not using much space, you could also look at matx or mitx boards and an overall smaller form factor build.
Ram sticks must be matched. That is one reason why a 4 stick kit of equal capacity costs more than a 2 stick kit.
Then, also few user desktop motherboards support quad channel operation.
a 4 stick kit on a consumer motherboard will likely run only in dual channel mode.
You now have more experience, but it will cost you more to sell and rebuy than to do nothing
