Is his intended? My amd a10-7800 CPU has been running from 75-95C for 2 years, I just found out it has no case fan so I put one in and it only went down to like 90C, why is my CPU still very hot, could it be possible that they put no thermal paste on since it had no case fan?

Solution
If you have an invoice for the system, they might have listed what CPU cooler they used. However, seeing as how they cut corners on the system fans, the odds are excellent that they used the stock AMD CPU cooler. Stock CPU coolers are pretty much designed to just barely, and only just barely keep the CPU from melting down *Under Normal Usage".

If that is what you have, you have 2 choices. Live with the high temps, or buy a third party CPU cooler that will fit into your case which does a much better job of cooling the CPU. if you have never installed a CPU, then I would highly suggest that you take your computer to a computer store and have thewm remove the current one and install the new one.
Look in your motherboard manual (or download it online), and see how many case fans the motherboard can power. Then look at the case manual and see how many fans can be mounted.

At a minimum, you should be able to install one 120mm fan on the front to pull cool air into the case *AND* a 80mm or 120mm fan on the back to pull warm air out. Fans are cheap. Probably too cheap in many cases. Those cheap fans that cost less than $15 will probably end up dying on you in less than a year. Yet there are fans in the $18 to $25 range that come with 6 year warranties. So I highly recommend the better fans.

Those 2 fans, plus a decent CPU cooler should be more than enough to keep your CPU nice and cool. But you need to find out what cooler is on your CPU, and look at reviews on it to see if it is a good CPU cooler or not.

I put in a 90mm fan and its still pretty hot, how do I check my CPU fan model?

If they cut corners on the case fans then its quite likely you are using a stock cooler.

If that is what you have I would recommend you buy a decent after market cooler to replace it. One other thing to note is that you should use AMD overdrive for your temps (it displays a thermal margin not a temp) but it is more accurate than stuff like Core Temp for AMD. Like MarkW said you should look to have a minimum of two case fans one for intake and one to exhaust.
