I built myself a new computer earlier this week and I am running Windows 7 Pro on it. The first day or so the computer worked fine, however, a couple days later when I turned it on it did the black screen and asked if I wanted to boot in safe mode because apparently the computer had not been shut down properly (it had been, not sure why it did that).

Anyways since then I have had problems getting my computer to boot up properly. I turn it on and it gives me a black screen, however, I can still move the cursor around without a problem. Also it starts up relatively normally, the logo for the motherboard still comes on, and so does the "Starting Windows" option. After it does its loading thing I hear the start up sound Windows makes through my speakers, but nothing happens on the screen. When I boot in safe mode everything works ok, and if I do a point in system restore it works alright. In addition the computer restarts itself just find and turns back on normally when it is working. This only happens after I shut it down for the night and try and get it going again the next morning.

Also as I was typing this post after about 5-10 minutes my computer went to sleep and woke up on its own and then it worked normally. Any idea what is going on with this thing? As I am typing this on my laptop, I am able to use my PC fine again.

Some build information if it will help too:

OS: Windows 7 Pro
CPU: Intel i5 4670k
Motherboard: MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate
RAM: 8GB(2x4GB) Crucial Ballistix Sport
SSD: Plextor PX-128 MS5 Pro
HDD: WD Caviar Black 1 TB
PSU: Corsair CX750M
ODD: Samsung 24x DVD
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master 212 Evo

I appreciate any help you guys can give. Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, I couldn't find a better place though. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I will be happy to clarify.

Alright good, yes, I can access my bios and go into safe mode, etc. Right now my computer is working fine again, so I'll let the day go by and see if anything else happens. If I have the same problem when I boot it up tomorrow I'll reinstall my OS and go from there. Thanks for the help I really appreciate it.
