Just got a Chronos 240gb and getting slow speeds

Hi guys,

I just got this in the mail today and ran some tests after formatting the drive and updating the firmware....

Seq Read is:200.28 MB/s
Seq Write is:228.08 MB/s


anyone know why my speeds are so low????

Processor: i7 930 2.8 stock @ 4.01

Yes - you have a SATA 6gb/s drive plugged into a SATA 3gb/s port.

Does the P6T have a 6Gb/s sata port?

No. So you are limited to full-saturation on a SATA 3gb/s port. You could get a SATA 6gb/s controller card to add to a PCIe slot. Those can be problematic from what I've heard though.
