Just got a GTX 650, huge FPS decrease

I just upgraded to a 650 from a GTX 460 and my FPS in games has actually DECREASED. Most games run much worse than they did before which makes me think I need to upgrade more than my GPU. Here are my system specs

OS: Windows 7 64-bit

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 810

RAM: 6 Gb Dual Channel DDR2 @ 398 MHz

MOBO: Gateway RS780

GPU: GeForce GTX 650

I have a thermaltake 850w PSU and a thermaltake spinq heat sink/CPU fan

I know the 650 won't be off running crysis 3 in ultra 1080p but I would at least expect more than 15 frames on low in BF3
If anyone could help out that'd be amazing.

The 460 is better than the 650 non ti, that's why, a 650 gtx is on par with a 550 ti, a 460 is better than those two.

Yeah it is better but getting only 15 FPS on BF3 is unacceptable. Even the GT 640 ($100) can give you 20 FPS medium settings at 1080p! Something is wrong

The $100 GT 640 card can even give you 30 FPS on high settings at 1600 * 900 resolution. GTX 650 should give more. Try installing the latest drivers dude

What did you upgrade from, and what are your system specs (especially PSU)?

wow I feel dumb.
when I took out the 460 I accidently pulled out my cpu fan's power cable to the mobo. Just tried BF3 on high on caspian border and it's running absolutely fine now. Thanks for the quick replies though... =P
