Just got radeon 6790 gcard .. with q8200 over clocked to 2.8Ghz with 4 gb ddr3

just got radeon 6790 gcard .. with q8200 over clocked to 2.8Ghz with 4 gb ddr3 ram ... the question is Will my PSU 300watt run them ?? actually does the 6790 card pull a complete 500 watt !

the problem is i cant afford a new power supply

Its highly unlikely that this setup will work with your present PSU.

6790 don't pull 500W is not so power hungry. Your psu is weak. You need an 400w-450W minimum psu.

thx for replies ... thats so sad as budget is tight here i hoped that the PSU will run that setup .. will it burn out or will not even turn on ?

It will just not turn on, and dont worry, it will not burn out or cause an explosion.
Even if it does turn on when you run any intensive applications, the computer will simply shut itself down.

surprisingly it worked just fine on 300psu !!
