Question Just installed 3080FTW3. Temps his 88 in Warzone. HELP

Just installed my new PSU (Seasonic PX850), seated the new GPU, updated nvidia drivers, updated EVGA Precision X1, loaded Warzone (1080p) and my temps climbed from 62 to 88 and I shut it off.

Can someone help me out! I'm freaking out, I have never seen any of my components hit above 80 ever!

Not sure where to look, I knew these cards run hot but I was not expecting this within 1min of a game...

What case and fan(s) are you using?
I have a Gigabyte 3080 oc and it is currently idling at 32c and 22c in my room.
It hits 64-70c gaming at the highest.
3 cooling fans on 3080s.

You can switch the VBios switch on the card itself to OC and after a reboot it might hep some with fans coming on sooner.

Meshify S2 with 2x140 Noctua NFA14 PWM intake. 1x150 NFA15 PWM exhaust.

I have it fixed for now but it seems in Precision X1 the fans are not even coming on AT ALL. I have the fan speeds locked at 40% for now around 1400rpm and my temps are 56-58 in game. Not sure how the fans arent automatically kicking on! When I go to the Fan Curve control, its at default (Custom). I hadnt touched a thing earlier and just did a quick drop in Warzone and it would jump 1 degree every 2 seconds until I saw it hit 88 and closed game and cranked the fans manually.

I dont think the fans on that GPU turn on till 60C in the stock Vbios dip setting.
Glad you found a workaround.
I had a similar situation with my PowerColor 6800 and the Adrenaline SW said I cant adjust fan curve without voiding warranty. I use MSI afterburner and it runs cool after that
