[SOLVED] just lost all my files, need help

I was on Windows 11 Insider Preview and decided to go back to Windows 10 using the go back feature in Windows Update settings, instead it put me in the stable build of Windows 11 with a lot of my important files missing, they still show up but they're not actually installed. Is there anyway I can revert this? I lost a lot of stuff that's important to me.

you mean programs' shortcuts still exist but the software is not actually installed anymore?
these you would just have to reinstall.

any personal files are more than likely lost unless they are residing in a Windows.old folder on the OS drive.
always keep anything important backed up.
