....playing Boaz Returns in AOD. Been a long time since a Tomb Raider level
pissed me off to this extent.
Hello everyone. Any words of wisdom in this trying time?
I know the objective and the strategy but that targeting/control system is
just ridiculous when you're under pressure and panicking. :-(
I miss TRII.

I have great sympathy. I quit playing the game for about a month after
two weeks of trying to kill the Boaz. Obviously I came back to it.

(1) The aiming *is* the problem. I found that holstering and redrawing
the guns helps let you lock on to the proper target. It makes it easier
to manuever nto the right position as well.

(2) The targets are those pods on the side, don't bother with anything
else. THough you do have to shoot it in the head until it starts
spewing goop from those pods (IIRC).

(3) You have to shoot all four (6?) of them.

(4) It helps to get in close on the side near the pod you want to shoot
and *then* draw your guns.

(5) If you run our of ammo, and you will (or have already), there is one
spot where a clip will show up once you're out of ammo.

(6) Once you've succeeded, however long that takes, you're not done with
the Boaz! I won't spoil it for you.

You can also achieve this by quick-tapping the "flip" button ("End" on the
computer). It will switch viable targets when you do that.

True, that is the way its *supposed* to work. Never did for me, even
after applying the patches.

Thanks for the tips. Did it first time and very quickly when I went back to
it today. Then did it again just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It's
actually quite easy now. The big thing was holstering the gun while running
away or jumping. And backing into the corners. For some reason Boaz took
very little health when attacking Curtis in a corner. As it was I still had
two 100% health power-ups and tonnes of ammo when finished. Didn't need the
pickup at all.
So I went on to clear the game and now I can say once again that I've
completed all Tomb Raider games...though with a lot of help on TR3 🙂
Back to GTA.
Once again, Cheers!
