Did you recently use CCleaner on your PC?

Did your user profile load normally? All the icons present on desktop?
You may have been loaded into temporary user profile.
Can you show screenshot from folder view of c:\users\ ?
I think this might have been the problem:

That is impossible unless you have a time machine. That is not your problem and do not even think that your problem is related to that issue that has long been solved.

You may be able to recover the files via some "accidental deletion" file recovery process.

Example links:

https://www.easeus.com/data-recovery/recover-permanently-deleted-files-in-windows-10.html

https://www.ibeesoft.com/recover-data/recover-deleted-files-in-windows-10.html

https://www.howtogeek.com/169344/how-to-recover-a-deleted-file-the-ultimate-guide/

There are many such links to be found. Do some reading and start planning out what to do with respect to the circumstances of your situation.

Remember, a mistake could make the files permanently unrecoverable if the files are not already unrecoverable.

And, as always, remember to keep multiple backups in the future.
