Just ordered a Asus P5N-E. Will it work well with ATI x1950 GC? Any advise on the memory I should get? DDR2 667/800/533...?

Thanks

Yes it will work with Asus P5N-E. I would go with DDR 800. Gives you a bit more overclocking room. Unless you are not plaing to OC then 667 will do fine. I just checked newegg and the price difference between 800 and 667 (2x512MB and 2x1GB) is nill. Maybe 5 to 10 buck differance at most. Stick with G.Skill, Mushkin, Corsair, Patriot.

Since this MB uses Nvidia chipset would it be better to use Nvidia VC with SLI b/c this MB can be used with 2 SLI enabled VCs, it has two pci-x16 slots? Can I use the ATI x1950 crossover with this mb too?

Thanks in advance.
Simon

There is no reason why it shouldn't work.

I think your eyes are playing tricks on you look again. :) Overall x1950 pro outperforms 7900gs in a lot of benchmarks probably 3 out of 4 tests performed.

You can use ATI with an nvidia chipset and you can use nvidia on an ATI chipset. It's not a big deal. Just don't exspect to try running CF on the nvidia hough i have heard rumores there is a way to hack the drivers to alow you to do those.

I had heard there was a hack to run SLI on the crossfire boards but not the other way. Do you have a link??
