 Not at all...is someone looking? 8O

I just discovered this underbelly of the forumz. So, I'm learning from other peoples' posts. Now I know you can't change polls for example. And I learned what BBCode is: it's the name of the stuff I've been using for weeks. :?

Besides, this is only post number (...1.2.3.4?) four in this section, and I think I'm done...At least until I get bored again!

Edit:

I only strayed down here myself by chance... its telling and confirms some of my suspicions about some of the charecters on this site. Not so much this testpost section but certainly some of the other community bits. To be honest I wondered where some of the folks hung out to be getting such stupid post counts.

Do us a favour and vote... its my first thread and first pole.. :p

There I voted. And look, I posted without increasing my count! And I discovered the error reporting section and started my second thread, which did increase my count!

Actually, this looks really stupid and I don't think I'll do it again.

I voted, and tried replying without another post, but it's ugly. ^

Actually, that brings up an interesting idea...that probably shouldn't be tried...a low moral character trick...I don't even want to ask...

Does deleting a thread you posted in affect your post count?

Look, I asked it anyway. The shame.

I guess I could delete this post, or create another thread and delete it once it has replies...but what good would that knowledge do? I guess that is the point of this section though. What do you think?

It would be perhaps pushing it to claim that we were trying to test the system for them.. but then this section is called test posts :p

I dont think your really supposed to play bump your count to quite that degree but I did see a thread where deleating did do something.. ;)

Try at your own risk. Forum gods can be vengefull..

Okay, test thread open, with a pole if you'd like to vote. BTW, I learned that you can change the poll options as many times as you want, until a vote it made. And apostrophes do crazy things to polls. :?

Edit: Looks like deleting does cut your post count. That actually makes me feel a little better. Strangely, you can only delete your last post. I made a reply and had to delete the last one, then the first one. Curious.

Just having a play with a thread..

edit - can edit the post but cant seem to edit the options..

Once a poll has been created, the author can't "rearange/modify" the options - that's to keep people from "rigging polls".

Note: Moderators can make changes for you, if it doesn't have any effect on the results ... and is fair. I added pink - seemed only right :p

Once a single vote is cast, the Options are "locked". Up until a vote is cast, you can edit/modify. If you are totally disgusted with your effort - have a Moderator delete it, and redo it - it's been done a lot.

I don't vote pink ... ever!

You can vote now - if the poll is edited to run "0" days, it becomes never ending. If you specify a number of days, it "locks" after that number of days. Simple, huh?

I got your pink vote 8O

Oh definitely. You've probably jumped over 100 posts since I first met you, whereas I've only gone up about 50. (Not enough courage to face WING...DING! 8O )

This post certainly helps. :p
