I just reformatted my computer and every game I've played so far will not go higher than 60fps exception of CS:source which does like 300fps.... I used to have it to where I had my framerate capped at 144fps since I have a 144hz monitor. Anybody know how to fix this? I've already turned off v-sync in the nvidia control panel, I've gone to windows monitor settings and made sure my monitor is set to 144hz, I just don't get it.

Well when you install Afterburner it comes with a program that links with Afterburner so you can cap frames, change the overlays font size, colour and style. There is also an option to cap the frames which is just a small box with a 0 in it which you then type in the frames you want to cap at them press the enter key to confirm.

The program that comes with Afterburner is a version of Rivatuner if you download Afterburner from the link below then Rivatuner will ask to install once you have installed Afterburner.

(Rivatuner loads up in your side bar and its icon is a blue screen with a two digit number on it, just double click it to pull Rivatuner up)
Nice build

Truthfully I have never heard of this problem before, sometimes a person may of forgot to uncap their frames in MSI Afterburner but for this problem I would recommend you wipe your GPU driver (get Driver Sweeper) and then get the official driver off the GeForce site.

I don't have a 1440p monitor so I don't know how Vysnc works with that refresh rate, thou I do use Vysnc on my 1080p 60HZ monitor at home. You can go into the Nvidia Control Panel to not just force Vysnc on but also to force it off.

So I was able to fix the problem for all games except Titanfall, but I didn't know that you can cap fps is msi afterburner, how do I uncap it in afterburner?
