Just seeing if im doing it right

i just got my FX 6300 and OC to 4.0ghz and was wanting to make sure i did it correctly. only thing was that my BIOS would not let me change the speeds and what not but i could in AMD overdrive.

i guess im not cause i cant run games and it changes the windows theme someone help me out please?

Looked it up had to press the plus minus keys to OC oh well cpu is setting at a good 14c
