Just switched to a new cpu + Mobo with an old hdd with windows 10 and started up with no problems (Is that normal?)

The Title's meaning is a good thing but I was told everything was going to get erased and restarted like a complete new factory reset, but nope. I switched to a new intel mobo and everything started up like normal, maybe even faster than before but is that a good thing?

Nothing seems broken but is there manual changes I need to make?

I would still recommend you get your data off while its stable then I mean you could try and just update all your drivers and see what happens with stability. Worse case you just reformat, install windows and have to get your personal data back on it.

I have the newer drivers on my external hdd that I have plugged in right now. Would it be better to install those drivers, then restart PC? or just stick with the reformat?
