Just wandered into the field of overclocking...

Got me an Athlon XP 2100 266, now its at 2600 333 Was at 2700 333 but i
felt that peaks of 70c were a bit OTT. Plus, i was playing Halo and my PSU
popped, but i'm blaming that on my new GFX (Geforce 5900XT). Now its
sitting at around 53-55c, peaks at 61/62 after Prime95 for 30 mins or so.

Got 4766 3D Marks earlier (3Dmark 03), now i'm overclocking my GFX as well,
and going back to 2700 (which i was at when i got that score), trying to
break the 5000 barrier! Extra fan has been fitted to the side of my case to
aid cooling, and with the new PSU (Q-Tec 550w fitted with better fans than
that noisy standard junk they have) i am hopeful

Uhmmm wow on the temps!!!
What Vcore are you using??????????
I had a 2100+ XP At 1.70vcore set to 11x200 for 3200+ speed on a Asus
A7N8X....With a volcano 9+ HS/Fan
You first off may want a better cooling solution and some PC3200 DDR ram.
What Board are you using and do you know the steppings of your CPU??
Mine was a AUIHB 0303 core T-Bred.

Oh and my temps where at idle 34c and under load max 54c
