[SOLVED] Just want a decent boost in performance.

mother board-gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2
Gpu AMD Radeon r7 250
psu evga 450
2 ddr3 slots I have 8 gigs ram.

I know it need a totally new computer but what would really boost me up on my gpu and ram? Im not looking for insain performace I just want to run games well on like medium or high.

I think a GTX 1050 or a GTX 1050 Ti would help you a lot.

I don't think you should have to do anything with the power supply.

Thank you im just really strapped for cash and I got this older gaming pc from my brother so, I know i need a total rebuild considering its age. but cant, I just want some decent performace im not trying to move mountains.

Yeah that's understandable.....but that 1050 or the 1050 Ti.....will really boost your graphics. The 1050 is about 3 times faster and the ti is about 4 times faster.

I don't think it will get you the boost that the 1050 or 1050 Ti will get you.....but you could go to 16.....and I think it would probably help a little......but running on 8 isn't that bad. I would get the GPU first. It may run so well......you decide not to get the RAM and save that money for a new system.

where would be the cheapest place you would suggest to get the gtx 1050 ti? and is their any good 1050 ti generics that work just as well as the name brands
