Ok, so after a little bit of research I would like to just make sure that I'm squared away on things before I purchase my video card.
What I'm looking for is a high-end card that supports SLI. I would like to run Supreme Commander at full settings, and eventually add a 2nd card when need be. Price range can be up to about 320, but I would still prefer my best bang for the buck.
From what I've read the 8800 GTS is not worth the added money and the GT can outperform them? One of the GTS models I was looking at was the EVGA 512-P3-N802-AR GeForce 8800GT Superclocked
GPU GeForce 8800GTS (G92)
Core clock 670MHz
Stream Processors 128
Memory
Memory Clock 1940MHz
Memory Size 512MB
Memory Interface 256-bit
Memory Type GDDR3
Those numbers look to be better than that of the GT series, but in the sticky here it states that the GT will outperform it?
Now on the other hand I also noticed this videocard http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161215 which looks like an amazing deal to me, judging by the stated numbers.
So, right now that's about what I have my options narrowed down to. Any insight into these chips/specs or any other suggestions is appreciated.
