[SOLVED] k70 vs k95 platnium xt

I like the K68 because it has a rubber mat underneath the keys that you can take out and wash off and nothing ever gets into the actual keyboard.

As for the k95-- The newest model is the k100 which I think is really sick, but it doesn't have the silicone mat so until that happens I stick with the k68.

K70 is great too. But if you want the newest and best the k100 is it, or if you're into dust/spill proof the k68 is my favorite keyboard.

im looking at these two besause they are on sale. the k100 is out of stock almost everywhere and i dont see a difference really over the k95. besides the top left buttons which i never use anyways. as for the k68 im told the led's are not controlled by icue software and i hate rgb and want it to be permantly turned off. not for me to turn it off everytime i turn on the pc

Ah I see. Yeah I have the static red version of the k68, but that silicon mat can be a life saver.
I believe the k100 has universal keycaps that you can replace with other standard custom keycaps, the k95 does not have the same keycaps. Other than that I think they're fairly similar.
Can't go wrong with a k70, not sure if the k95 extra buttons are worth it to ya or not! Depends on whatchu plan on binding to em.

whats the difference besides price and the add on addressable buttons on the left, anything else to justify the price difference

im not interested in other brands right now

Main difference is the 6 macro keys on the 95.

From my experience with their keyboards I would look at a different brand.

Looking at white K70 oh its nice. Seeing K95 $156 seems good price to buy. Liking white one but not pull trigger yets. Even found the reddragons white with argb tkl that looking nice. Already I has the $15 rgb keyboards from another country not sure I want to keep going down that road. These not bad.

i got 70$ off the platnium when i ordered it. i turn of all rgb and thats why i use corsair so i can use the same software for everything. corsair commander pro fan controller, dare core pro se mouse, k95 platnium xt keyboard, corsair hx850i i hate rgb and this software is easy to use and never gave me any problems and works for all my things. except for my asus tuf z490 plus wifi motherboard, and i also am waiting for a asus tuf rtx3080 OC gpu so idk if that will work with corsair icue or have to use asus software. but i either choose asus or corsair for things that need software as to limit the amount of software bloat

Wow that was the deal. For me I never have rgb in any builds until now. Must admit the flashing rgb is annoying like it much better when its muted down. Would probably feel same about keyboard. Would look at other keyboards but have read much about problems non corsair keyboards have with icue so not want to wander down that path if can avoid. Corsair emails me all time offering some discounts have been tempted. Would not mind new keyboard and mouse I am using the chinese specials that are gloriusly inexpensive pretty much disposables. If I going to drop $150-200 on a keyboard just need to consider it. Its not so much the money but more..... well you know what I meaning :)
