I have four k7s5a pro motherboards with a variety of Athlons.
In the "cpu pnp setup" page in the BIOS there are various cpu and memory
settings including 166/133 for the cpu and memory respectively.

Does the 166Mhz cpu setting work with faster Althons (Barton, Semprons)?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of using a 166Mhz cpu in this way?

You can't boot with a 166 MHz or higher setting, as fai as I know, and I
remember I read that synchronous settings works better on the K7S5A.
