k8n neo 2 plat problem... any suggestions

just purchased a new system for christmas, specs are as follows
m/b: k8n neo 2 plat bois vers. 1.3
athlon 64 winchester 3000+
500W [-peep-] PS
5900 ultra video
1gig patriot ram (tccd chips on brianpwr pcb)ddr 400
.built system about an hour ago boots and posts perfectly , however when i try to modify the hypertransport(HT) variable
and i press enter to view the categories. it doesnt display them . only a blank screen. and locks up my bios. im forced to restart every time it happens. the sole purpose for this new build was to be an amazing OCer as i know this winchester is capable of. if anyone has any ifo on my problem pleass let me know . oh yeah mem is set to Dual channel in slots 1 and 3. thanks

I would start with flashing the bios, that should solve some troubles.
An of course, the system is new so everything should work just fine so you could return mem+mainboard for testing.

I have the same motherboard and the dual channel will only work on the 1,2 and 3,4 dimm combinations or 1,2,3,4 combo.
