Ka3 mvp + sapphire radeon hd 4830 = compatible?

that's my motherboard. i just bought the sapphire card when my old one died on me. Everything powers on fine seemingly, but not sure if my PCs booting up. I wasn't able to startup in safemode and there is no video signal transmitted to my monitor. The motherboard's indicator light on the PCIx16 slot blinks, as it's supposed to when there hasn't been a video card properly intalled/setup. Anyone know if there's a compatibility problem, or where to go from here to figure out the problem?

Is the 6-pin power connector plugged into the video card?
Clear the bios.

Try building outside the case and looking for beeps.
