Thoughts? Have keyboard/mouse and headphones, thinking of adding 1060 6gb strix later, dont need any OC, strictly daily use, some gaming, school work ect.

Budget Under $1200

**Was thinking of leaving stock or going with a simple Cryorig C7/shadow rock lp cooler even though stock is fine, but probably need rear exhaust as well for better air movement regardless if i get an AIO or not.

Changes made
CPU cooler: H100i -> none
HDD: Seagate 1TB -> Hitachi 1TB
Case fans: none -> 3x Corsair SP120 RGB
Monitor: Acer VS239H-P 23.0" -> BenQ GL2460HM 24.0"

Reasons why
CPU cooler: AIO for non-K CPU is way too overkill. You'll do just fine with Intel's stock cooler that comes with CPU.

HDD: Out of 4 major HDD makers: Seagate, Western Digital, Toshiba and HGST; Seagate HDDs have the highest failure rate. So, went on and replaced it with more reliable HGST (Hitachi) 1TB HDD.

Case fans: Since you stated that you'd probably need rear exhaust as well and while considering your fancy "fishbowl" case with RGB fans, went on and added 3x Corsair SP120 RGB fans into the build. (460X already comes with 3x SP120 RGB fans as front intake.) You can put 2x SP120 RGB as top exhaust while leaving the last one as rear exhaust. Since 460X case already comes with Corsair LED controller and LED hub, your case can support up to 6x Corsair RGB LED fans.

Monitor: Saw that you picked an IPS panel, 23" and 5ms Asus monitor for your build. Replaced it with TN panel, 24" and 2ms BenQ monitor. For gaming, TN panel monitor with low response time is better. While IPS panel monitor is better for web browsing due to the brighter colors it has with higher response time. You can switch your monitor back to the Asus if you like.

ty brotha! appreciate the full explaination with changes, i myself own that seagate i havnt had a failure yet but i will do some more research on the hitachi and most likely take your word for it. :)

I may decide to atleast keep the cryorig c7 over stock, unless it would create more of a circulation issue, and ty for the rgb light adds.

did not know that ips would be better for desktop, appreciate finding that benq :)

thanks again homie!
