Question Kaby lake or coffee lake

I think I screwed up the motherboard cpu socket. Should I just replace the motherboard or replace the cpu too? Cuz everybody is selling coffee lake now.

Which CPU and motherboard do you have now?

If you have a dedicated GPU I would actually consider AMD Ryzen but you'd also want fast (3000+) memory for it.

I have a i5 7500, and a rx570. I dont need fast memory speeds. Just wanna get my computer work again asap.

As long as this motherboard has been updated (one would think so since it's an older socket) it should work with that 7500.

Asrock is pretty good about updating the BIOS so it more then likely has been updated but you could always check with Newegg.
