Well from experience AMD CPU's are always drawing more power and are making more heat. With Intel CPU's (over the course of 10 years) have been known for low temperatures and high-over clocking ability. Although both Zen and Kabylake aren't released, it's not really a 100% accurate until someone or many get a hold of it.
From a tiny bit of research looks like the kabylake will have higher clock speeds and normal TDP.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not one or the other, AMD also has great CPU's for the money.
I would say if it was me to wait for a few months until we know both new architecture is stable and well worth it to be safe.
If you were thinking about purchasing around this holiday season the LGA 1151 or Skylake platform is more...
