I got fat problems!

As I mentioned in another thread I had to reinstall Windows after
my harddrive went kaka-koko.
I checked the harddrive autodetection in BIOS and it gives me three
choices to make, problem is...I don´t know which one.

This is how it looks:
Options____Size____Cyls____Head____Precomp____Landz____Sector____Mode
2(Y)............41170....5005.....255..........0.................19709.........64............LBA
..................41176....19710...16............65535..........19709.........255..........NORMAL
..................41163....2463.....128..........65535..........197009.......255..........LARGE

As for now I am going with the first option, I assume that this is the correct one?
But, I am wondering about the Precomp thing, what does it mean, why is it a zero?
Can it be that I have to chose one of the other two options?

There is nothing wrong with my HD according to Scandisk (surface control).
My drive is an IBM 40GB GXP.

Thanks for any help!
