Hello,
One of our PC's Windows Update is not working. It says that it wants to install this update:
2024-06 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5039302)
When I click Download and Update, it immediately fails with this error code: "Download error - 0x80248007"
What I have tried:
- I have run these command:
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
netsh winsock reset
- I have run sfc /scannow
- Checked file system
- Installed all drivers are on the PC (Chipset driver was not installed)
- I even increased the size of the Recovery Partition to 1.5GB in case it was and issue with that. (I've had the issue before on another PC).
- I have also downloaded and tried to install the update manually. When I do, it says that the update is not applicable to my system.
Now I am stumped and so is Google. Any suggestions? (Other than format the PC)
