So near the beginning of this year I started noticing that my Corsair PSU fan would make a rattling noise when it got to higher RPMs and there was a lot of power being needed. Over the months that rattling noise progressed to get worse and worse to the point that people could hear it happen in the other room, and I could also hear it with headphones on and game volume fairly high. So a few weeks ago I got a new Supernova G2 750W from EVGA, and it started making that noise too, but ever so slightly. Fearing that it would get to the point that my old one was at I RMAd it and the replacement had overvoltage issues, so now I'm waiting for the replacement of the replacement.
I took everything out of my case and made sure that there was nothing loose that could be making this noise. When putting it all back in I tightened the screws a little more and still the noise persisted. So I'm wondering now, is this something that I'm doing wrong? Or is it just a coincidence that the first PSU and the old Corsiar PSU just had something wrong with the bearings? This is the case that I'm using. I haven't found any other people reporting the same issue, even though I can't find any way that it could be the case. I didn't have this issue with the other two PCs I built before that had been using the original corsair PSU.
