[SOLVED] Keep getting BSOD every 1-10 minutes of operation.

About two weeks ago the windows auto updater installed new updates to my computer and from there on my computer would crash within 1-10 minutes of restarting. I would get an error:
KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED.

I restarted in safemode (safe mode does not crash, which is what I'm currently in) and eventually had to reset my computer to a previous version. This fixed the problem until just a day ago the auto updater ran again and the same problem happened.

It keeps crashing with KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED.
The problem is now it wont let me reset to an earlier version again stating the files have been removed.
It wont let me uninstall the updates.
I've updated all my drivers to their latest versions
I've turned off fast start
I cant seem to find anything that fixes this problem.

The updates were:

  • Update for Microsoft windows (KB4601050)
  • Security update for adobe flash player
  • Servicing stack 10.0.19041.925
  • Feature Update to Windows 10 20H2 via Enablement...

From reliability monitor:

Here's a link to my dump files.

I've been looking into this all day and cant seem to find a fix that works.
Thanks,

Solution
its an old system, I doubt the bios update will help if its worked fine all this time without it.

If you not so good with PC, you might want to get someone to look at it for you. Repair shop or something.

if you have another PC, look at the top link and download prime 95 and run it, you don't need windows to run it.
Prime 95 bootable - https://www.infopackets.com/news/10113/how-fix-bootable-prime95-stress-test-hardware

Prime 95 how to use Guide: http://www.playtool.com/pages/prime95/prime95.html

It working okay in safe mode could mean its hardware or software still. Safe mode doesn't put as much stress on PC hardware,
it also doesn't use any drivers apart from what comes with windows so its not possible for me to say...

Hi, I ran the dump files through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/8cd514gu/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

You are using BIOS version 1.10. There is a BIOS update available for your system. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

This information can be used by others to help you. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

guess based on victim time...
1 dwm.exe = windows desktop manager - It sits between windows and GPU drivers... so I guess its GPU drivers.
try running DDU and remove GPU drivers in safe mode and reinstall again - https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq...n-install-of-your-video-card-drivers.2402269/

2 MS MpEng - Part of windows defender. I would guess lan drivers...

I can't tell based on other 3.

lets see if I am right.. reads conversion.... fiddle never stops loading... not this again (sometimes it just hates me, but loads later)

What are specs of the PC?

Fiddle loaded, I must have been too fast.

its a divide by zero error. in fact, all 5 errors are divide by zero, which never works all that well. try it on a calculator.

All 5 include these lines in the stack text -

nt!PpmPerfSelectProcessorState+0x199
nt!PpmPerfSelectProcessorStates+0x70
nt!PpmCheckRun+0x3b

ppm is power management on the CPU

given you only have 5 drivers running and I know Speedfan is okay, and other 3 are from the last 3 years.

I don't think running ddu is answer.

try running this on CPU - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/19792/Intel-Processor-Diagnostic-Tool
expect finding Intel Management engine interface drivers for that motherboard that also work on win 10 might be a stretch.

Thanks for looking into this. I'm not the most tech literate person so its hard to keep up. I'll try my best.

Yes, that is the mother board I have.
Specs:
intel Core i7 - 2600k CPU. @ 3.4 GHz at 3.39 GHz
16 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
SSD 860 EVO 1TB ATA Device
ST32000644NS ATA Device

I am unable to download the CPU diagnostic tool since I'm currently in safe mode and it wont let me. Normal boot doesn't last long enough to download it before it crashes again. (it averages about 1-2 minutes in normal mode before a crash, but sometimes goes up to about 10)

Should I try updating the BIOS, or continue waiting for more information?

It working okay in safe mode could mean its hardware or software still. Safe mode doesn't put as much stress on PC hardware,
it also doesn't use any drivers apart from what comes with windows so its not possible for me to say if it means one or other. Since it runs fine in safe mode, it could at least mean that the windows updates themselves didn't cause problem but its possible a driver they installed did.

you have 5 3rd party drivers
T Mouse driver
Speedfan
2 Nvidia drivers
Realtek LAN driver

if it was any of these I would maybe look at mouse driver,
Dec 03 2012t_mouse.sysAdvanced Mouse driver from iBall
I have seen it before, I wonder if windows installed it.

so if windows installed any other drivers, its marked as Microsoft and won't show in the program Gardenman uses to convert dumps. Most of the time Windows installed drivers don't cause errors.
