I just built a brand new pc. And since building it I’ve gotten 4 BSOD: “system service exception” , what failed: nvlddmkm.sys, I’ve even completely reset my pc with a fresh windows installation. Is it one of my hardware? I’ve changed out the gpu already so it can’t be that. Any help is appreciated.
System specs -
Ryzen 2600
B450m asrock hdv 4.0
Msi 1660ti gaming x
Corsair vengeance lpx 16gb 3000mhz
Corsair vs550 psu

I have run 3 of the 4 dump files (the 4th was corrupt) and you can view the full reports here:

Dump 1: https://pste.eu/p/xqWY.html (IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL)
Dump 2: https://pste.eu/p/GH5N.html (SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION)
Dump 3: https://pste.eu/p/gEM2.html (PFN_LIST_CORRUPT)

These are typically driver based, the PFN being probably the lesser common bug check of the 3.

Some things to consider:
I would highly advise you to view the full report above, as this will contain much more detail as to the bugcheck and modules running at the time.
  • I saw the Ryzen OC utility, are you running any overclock or XMP at all?
  • I could not deduce system information, do you have latest BIOS installed?
  • Are you using a...

Welcome to the forums my friend!

Please see the BSOD link in my signature below to enable minidumps so that you can post them here and we can help resolve the issue, in the meantime, what is your FULL system spec including PSU make and model?

The NV are your NVIDIA Video drivers, however just because the GPU is removed, doesn't stop the drivers from being loaded up necessarily. Are the NVIDIA drivers fully updated?

The Nvidia drivers are fully updated, done a clean installation multiple times each time it still crashes, also I updated my post with the full system specs for you. Cheers

In which case have you gone through the link and enabled minidumps?
If so, you can post the minidumps here next time there is a crash, or post the previous ones if they are already enabled.

  • Are you using a WiFi adapter? These can often cause BSOD in certain circumstances.
  • There are 2 unknown modules I've not come across before, you may want to disable them in Autoruns (linked in Loaded Modules report).
  • There are some later MB/Chipset drivers available (such as your audio one) https://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/B450M-HDV R4.0/index.asp#Download
  • As with any memory corruption, if the drivers do not solve the issue, you are best running MEMTEST to verify the integrity of your memory modules.
  • Also wondering if latest drivers may be an issue - may try reverting the NVIDIA drivers to the previous version.
Unable to gather anymore info from the PFN database

Theres no overclock however I did enable the xmp profile for the memory. I disabled that and the crash still happens. I have the latest bios that supports ryzen 2000 series. The newer bios updates are for ryzen 3000. I am using a wifi adapter however when connected through ethernet the same problem occurs. the ssd isnt corrupt either since I changed out the ssd for another one and it crashed. ill try memtest and your other options. Thank you so much for your help so far, I really appreciate it.

If you do have other BSOD, then please do post them as it may help eliminate the list of suspects.

Can you confirm if the issue still occurs in safe mode or clean boot state?
Also what keyboard and mouse do you have?

1st one = defender crashed, I am amazed there are 2019 drivers for a USB 2 WIFI device
2nd one blames Nvidia drivers - wish AMD were closer, Nvidia might have to build better drivers then. Could try drivers from MIcrosoft, they seem more stable than the newest from Nvidia themselves
3rd one - windows defender....

you can't run Ethernet for a while and see if BSOD caused by that adapter??

Think it states above that ran on ethernet above and the issue repeated.

Wondering if the driver was still loaded though...
Was hoping dump afterwards would help see :)

The problem was the ram guys, I changed out the ram for a different set and the crashing completely stopped. Thanks for all your help though, really appreciate it.
