Hello.

I keep loosing connection to my d drive after a few hours, but if i just hot swap sata cables it starts working for a few new hours.
i was wondering if someone else has had this issue or know of a solution for this.
its the d drive i keep loosing, c disk with windows is fine

Specs.
Asus B450-F Gaming mobo
Ryzen 5 2600X cpu
Kingston SSDNow V300
Seagate BarraCuda 1TB 3.5" HDD

Solution
Could be bad cables.
Could be bad drive.

What do you mean by "hot swap sata cables"?
You should not connect/disconnect sata cables, while system is on. This will lead to data corruption. Can also lead to physical damage to drive.

will try ordering a new set of sata cables, but do you think 2 cables would go bad with the same symptoms ? the drive works fine after swapping sata cables, have all games on it and can run it without problems.
have also tried to swap sata port and that also worked, but a pc restart does not work.

drive is almost a year old.
