Hi,

I just got today the ASUS GeForce GTX Titan X 1075MHZ 12GB 7GHZ GDDR5. After reading today on tomshardware they seem to say that the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 980 Ti Xtreme is the strongest card right now. What I want to do is 4k gaming with the best possible graphic. I will be receiving the BenQ BL3201PH today. I want to have a card that I will be able to keep for at least 2 years and always be able to play at 4k with max out graphic.

Should I keep my Titan X or while I can return it and get the Gigabyte GTX 980 Ti Xtreme?

Thank you!

A 980Ti and a Titan X are practically equal for gaming. If you are able to get a full refund I would do it. You can buy 2 980Ti GPUs and run them in SLI for a little more than the cost of a Titan X. This would give you much better performance at 4K.

If you are considering sticking to 1440p I would still return the Titan X for a 980Ti since it would save you $400+ and give you the same performance.
There is no more point in keeping a GDDR5 card for 2 more years. These graphics cards have edged an end of an era. Nvidia Pascal is around the corner and will be here in 5 months. The new HBM 2.0 architecture is going to dominate the market and perform MUCH better than GDDR5 at 4k. You don't want a GTX 980 Ti or Titan X anymore after 5 months.

Don't know what more I can get for hardware for 4k gaming. I may just go to 1440 at 144Hz hmmm....
