Keep second guess on buying a pc

i have 2 more years until i go to college and i keep second guess if i want to build my own pc or get a laptop. I am afraid that i wouldn't use it as much as I thought I would

If you're a gamer I would still build a desktop. A small cheap laptop is all you need for college. I tried using a big 17.3" with a dedicated GPU as my college laptop and it was so big and heavy (not to mention a terrible battery life) I never wanted to take it anywhere. But having a desktop for gaming and something like a $300 14" laptop to take to class or the library is all you need.

I plan on buying a chromebook for college and i have a set pc build for gaming. Not sure how much time ill spend gaming on pc because i am a console player

Perhaps look into small form factor pc builds. You can still use a full size desktop gpu. The main tradeoff to get the small size is poor cooling. But you can take it with you to college without as much trouble as with a mid-tower. You get waaaaaayyy better performance than a nuc.

My build is a micro atx and i am using a 1060 in it
