So I recently bought a new x34 for $999 at microcenter. Not knowing my rog matrix 780 ti is not enough to power it. Should I just return it and get pg258q + 1080 ti or keep the monitor and save up for a 1080 ti? I'll be focusing on playing Destiny 2 on pc when it comes out.

That x34 is one of the best monitors out there and will give you an amazing visual experience. But still, expensive...Moreover, I wouldn't suggest getting such a high end, expensive 1080p monitor in 2017 (as the pg258q) even if it is 240hz etc. (the best 1080p monitor out there). My advice: keep your x34 monitor and save for a gtx 1080 ti (or if you are really patient which I suggest, wait for volta - I suppose the ti variant will be too much of a wait but something like a gtx 2080 or whatever I think will surpass a gtx 1080 ti) which should be out around the time Destiny 2 is on the market. The gtx 780 ti should work fine on the x34 if you dial some of the settings down (after all,you have g-sync) on demanding games and it will still...
