Hi.
I just reset my computer that had Ubuntu 16.04, i took backup of everything. This computer hadn't been updated in a few years since i messed up the repositories.
But when i tried opening my password manager on the OS, it didnt work, it says "corrupted keyfile or wrong masterkey". And i have tried all other backups as well, none of them work any more (even though they haven't been in contact with that computer).
How is this even possible? I have checked the password many times (i have used it for the last 10 years)
Can it be that the newer version of KeepassX has this problem, and not the older version? I remember having this trouble on my windows computer from time to time as well.,. But now it happens on all computers.
