Question Keeps destroying my Lavalier Mics ??

I'm stumped !!
I bought a PowerDeWise Lavalier mic. Plugged it into my mic inlet. It worked very well.
A couple days later it crapped out. I tried hooking it in thru the rear mic port and nothing.
I tried it on another PC and then on my phone and still nothing.

I then bought another Lav mic hopefully better iRig and hooked only in the rear port.
It worked awesome for a couple of days then same thing.... done.
I also ensured it worked on my phone and laptop before even hooking it to my computer.

Now I checked my headset that has a mic on it ..... it too is done.
But I can take my headphone jack and plug it into the mic inlet and it will receive voice sound from my headset so the port does work.
I've tried every setting under the sun in the sound and preference settings.

I'm TERRIFIED to even hook a mic to my PC now !!!
I do have some static in the room but now using a humidifier.

It should take more than that to cook a mic though.

What's up?? is my Windows 10 PC frying my mics ??? The mics won't work on anything else now and if I hear anything it's soooooo faint it's inaudible.
I'm also worried since I'm getting an audio interface..... I don't want that fried.

Any ideas from anyone?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

I think you might be having a power related issue whereby your mic's are being fried. Might want to mention the make and model of your PSU and the specs to the system it's powering.

Also, you might want to scope out your crib to see if you have any grounding issues. How do you know you have static in your room? Do you get minor tinges of electrocution when touching the chassis with your bare feet making contact to a floor(not wooden or carpeted)?

The room is carpeted. There's been a bit more static lately than usual. I had a plastic floor mat under the chair and removed it. That's notorious for static creation. Even person to person contact in the house sparks.
Humidifier has helped reduce it.
I simply didn't think it would be enough to fry my mics !!
If I touch the case when the computer is in sleep mode it would wake up from the static shock.
I reversed a two prong plugin hoping that may help and swapped one of the inlet plugins on a monitor that was giving a bit of an error.
I'm tempted to wear a static strap grounded to the case.
It's simply never done this before.
Next step would be to take it in when I can and have it all checked out to ensure it is grounding properly.
I've also ordered a usb wireless lavalier hoping that not having direct physical contact with the mic and computer can solve the issue if it is from static.
