Keeps Re-installing xplane

hi, i have a problem, i bought a custom built pc which had a load of stuff still on it (photo's music, ect ect), so i thought i would reset the pc to free up space, i use the pc for flight sims and it was working fine, since resetting the pc when i load up the flight sim it plays for a short while then starts downloading the flight sim again from steam or it just stops playing so when you click on the X-Plane icon on my desktop it starts loading the just stops and returns to the desktop?, i'm a total noob to pc's as i use a ps4 but bought the pc for flight sims so i have no idea were to start what i'm looking for as i'm so green, so any help would be really appreciated but as i said i'm really green with pc's, here are my specs

Nvidia GTX 1080ti FTW
Asus strix z2of gaming motherboard
16gb ddr4 gskill trident rgb
Samsung 970 evo m 250 gb ssd
Samsung 2tb harddrive
Os windows 10

You may want to uninstall the game from your system and reinstall it after downloading from steam. Prior to that you can try and make sure you're on the latest drivers for your GPU. Does this issue happen with Flight Sim X alone or are other titles affected?
