]I can be playing games or simply typing a paper and my computer shuts off enexpectedly. I thought it was a hard drive issue as it will be at 100% for long durations, but I am not sure.

I thought that Kernal power was the issue, however, after talking with a former professor and him checking out the system he determined that what was happening was my disk usage was almost always maxed out by various apps and background things from windows (Microsoft store, updater, Windows defender, sending system info to Microsoft) each of the shutdowns was logged in Event viewer as being requested by RunTimeBroker.exe. After turning a lot of background applications off and changing some windows settings, my disk usage hardly leaves the 5%(or lower) area and has not experienced any unwaranted shutdowns.
