I was browsing on firefox when my laptop froze and 2 minutes later the blue screen of death appeared with, "Kernel Data Inpage error". Then the laptop restarted and went into BIOS, which showed that the HDD isn't installed. I rebooted a few times, same result. No HDD detected. I searched about this error and it showed that the HDD or RAM may be failing. So I just opened the back panel of laptop and removed both RAM and HDD and reinserted into their slots. And then I could boot to windows. Ran check disk with r parameter, took 4 hours to complete. No error found, no bad sectors located. Then ran seatools for seagate hdds, passed all the tests. Ran crystaldiskinfo, health status good. So I don't know what's wrong. What does this indicate? Any thoughts?

Laptop: Lenovo flex 2-14.
HDD: SEAGATE 500GB SATA 8GB SSHD

Reads to me like the HDD said goodbye. You might want to see if replacing the HDD with an SSD/HDD with a clean install of an OS changes what you're experiencing with the laptop. Ofc, it could also mean that the motherboard might be on it's way out or that you have a grounding issue or that your power brick might be in need of replacement. The thing with troubleshooting is that you rule factors out until you reach a conclusion that "this" is the reason why it was happening all along.

What OS are you working with? BIOS version for your convertible mobile computing device?

OS: windows 8.1
Currently, the laptop is working fine, except the BD PROCHOT throttling. It happened few days ago but got fixed on its own for 3 days and again happened today. Also, the CPU cooling fan is not working properly, it needs replacement. The temperatures are normal. Never goes beyond 75 C.
Could you please help me troubleshoot both these problems? The HDD seems to be working fine right now but now I have this BD PROCHOT throttling again. I made a thread few days ago regarding that, got resolved on its own but again started. I have attached links to the screenshots. Please go through it once. For some reason I am unable to add the image here, keeps giving me error.
Thanks.
