Question Kernel-Power 41 issue/flash black screen issue.

Feb 15, 2019
Hi all, can you give me your ideas about my case.

Recently, i build my case as bellows:

  • OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit (lastest update)
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G
  • Main: ASUS Prime B450-A
  • VGA: MSI RX580 8Gb (Red version)
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz (Dual channel)
    [*]01 M2 SSD SAMSUNG 960 Evo 250Gb
    [*]01 SSD SATA SAMSUNG 860 EVO 250Gb
    [*]01 HDD Western Digital 7200 rpm 1Tb
    [*]PSU Seasonic Focus 650W FM-650 - 80 Plus Gold
    [*]3 Fan LED RGB 120 mm (2 front,1 back)
[*]20 inc Phillip monitor that only support VGA and DVI-D output

Then i met problems, when i plug vga, then run game (like DOTA2 or just some not so heavy game) after a time, monitor shutdown, main still run, light still lit but the fans sound restart, then i must unplug vga cable and connect to cpu graphic port, then i see that machine is really restart. Open the event log and it's a critical error: Kernel-Power 41 issue. VGA is down, as i check HWMonitor, some part of VGA memory still under used but no fan, no signal. I shutdown computer and wait, plug again the VGA and it run game for even shorter time than before. Now i have to use graphic onboard and i met other problem. Monitor sometime flash to black then go back, sometime it's not.

The temperature is not problems since it never go to hot (under 35 with CPU and 65 with GPU), so please, can you give me your opinions to solved this. Thank you.
