I've been trying to reformat my computer with XP. When I get to the
startup screen that allows you to select the recovery console, my
keyboard quits working and I cant select anything.

Is there any other way to reformat my hard drive??

use ur friends keyboard!!! simple as that
Ok. serious now. when windows xp setup is loading, u have an option to
select a keyboard type/layout and u r given some time to select the
correct layout (maybe 10 seconds). so try selecting a layout that works
and u can always change it back to default after installing xp. hope it
solves ur problem. by the way, stop freeboarding!

Maybe your installer gives that option. I've never seen it and I've
installed XP on dozens of computers lately.

Are you using a USB KBD? If so, switrch to a PS/2 KBD or check your BIOS
to make sure you've got it setup right.
