Keyboard and Mouse Don't respond. Please help!

OS: windows 8.1
CPU: Intel i5
RAM: G Skill Ripjaws 2x4gb
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 280X
SSD: Samsung (with OS on it)
Motherboard: Asus Z87 Extreme 4


When I turn my computer on it goes into windows and the keyboard and mouse are not responsive. Manually resetting the BIOS, I can enter the BIOS and the keyboard and mouse work at this screen. But if if I exit and start the computer again, the keyboard and mouse are still not responsive in windows. What should I do?

Seems to me like your USB controller is not responding on windows.
Make sure its enabled in the BIOS
