Hi all,

I have managed to somehow lose the USB dongle for my wireless mouse and keyboard. I've plugged the wired keyboard and mouse that came with the machine in, but Windows won't recognise it on the log-in page. It will, however, recognise the keyboard and mouse in the BIOS and in Safe Mode.

This is what I've tried:
Using the keyboard and mouse with another computer - they work fine
And going into Device Manager in Safe Mode and checking for updates for the keyboard and mouse
I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the keyboard in Device Manager in safe mode.

I'm running Windows 7 on a Novatech desktop that's only a couple of months old. All I have installed is Office, LibreOffice Dragon Naturally Speaking, Sophos and a few extensions for Chrome.

I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks so much!
