Question Keyboard and mouse randomly stutter then come back.

So today I was playing video games and about every 45 seconds my keyboard and mouse would just stop and my keyboard would flicker and would not work. Then it comes back after 7 seconds of doing that. I recently had a power supply overheat and I was thinking maybe it could be that, but I dont want to replace it if thats not the case. Also, when i am just doing normal things like typing or watching youtube, this does not happen. With that being said, it only happens when the pc is undergoing stress. I have had this pc for a couple years and have not ever had this issue. Also, the power supply overheat was quite awhile ago, so im not sure why it would start messing up now. Monitor does not cut out and the pc still runs smoothly. Thank you for reading... Any help is greatly appreciated.
