keyboard and mouse stopped working after pc restart

My keyboard and mouse stopped working after the computer reported it was "attempting repairs" and restarted because of a program that was not closed properly before computer was shut off,I tried them in all usb ports,none works and I even got a new mouse because I thought it was the problem and the screen will not change to the desktop screen. What should I do?
