Keyboard and mouse working in bios but not after startup.

My mouse, keyboard, wacom tablet are all not working on my ASUS desktop running windows 10. When I plug them in and out, the computer can detect the driver and it says "ready to go" but the cursor does not appear. The keyboard also cannot be used even though it can be detected being plugged in and pulled out, same for the wacom. The devices all work in BIOS but simply fail upon start up.

Have you tried changing the USB settings in the BIOS?
Without knowing your exact BIOS/motherboard, there may be a setting in the BIOS for USB that is something like "allow legacy devices". Try setting that to "enabled" or similar and see if that works?

i've tried all configurations for the legacy devices, enabled disabled and auto but no dice :/ fiddled with the XHCI and what not too but still stuck 🙁

Glad you got it worked out. That's an issue that seems to be limited to Dells? Do you have a Dell?
