Question Keyboard and trackboard on HP Spectre 360 stopped working - worth salvaging?

As the subject says, the keyboard and trackpad on my three-year old HP Spectre x360 stopped working. Then I got an unresolvable BSOD that required me to wipe my computer and reinstall Windows from scratch, with the keyboard/trackpad still not working. Given how long I've had the laptop and not having purchased any extended warranty or damage coverage, I immediately went out and bought a new laptop, but now I'm wondering if there is some low-cost repair option available or any components (the SSD, for example) that are worth salvaging in this computer? It seems a shame to throw out a $1200 laptop after three years due to one component not working.

You could salvage the rams, storage drives and the wireless adapter from the X360 Spectre. Though if I were you, I'd look through Ebay and source a replacement keyboard/trackpad/palmrest and revive the old laptop. You can then sell the laptop off or hand it down to someone else in your household. Aliexpress should also be of service sourcing parts to revive your old laptop.

Thank you for the ideas. It looks like sourcing the parts and then swapping them out myself will be a very intensive process, requiring tools that I don't have; would it be worthwhile to see if a local repair shop can do it?
