Question Keyboard dead. Blinking red light under spacebar?

I don't know where else to go but here for help with this, because technical support is being a pain. I have an RK61 keyboard, which was recently bricked and lost all functionality thanks to the shoddy software that goes with it. Anyway, I noticed that every time I plug the keyboard in, this little light under the spacebar blinks red for just a second. It's the only response the keyboard gives at all when plugged in. Someone I spoke to about it suggested that it may be a voltage/power leak issue, but didn't elaborate further than that, and I'm not experienced enough to know what exactly that means I should do next. Does anyone have any idea to what this could mean, and if it's possible to be fixed by someone with little-to-no experience, if fixable at all?

If the board is bricked, try the steps mentioned in the post (this one specifically) lower down. If you know how to solder(and by that you have a very steady hand) you could try and replace the controller on the underside of the keyboard's PCB.
