After uninstalling VMware Workstation Pro, my keyboard did not work.

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or corrupt. (Code 19)

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Class\{4d36e96b-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}] in the empty "Class"=" I had to enter the word keyboard - in "UpperFilters" kbdclassvmkbd3 I had to remove the word vmkbd3 and leave only kbdclass

Why does VMware Workstation Pro sometimes add some malicious entries to the system registry to make me do unnecessary work?

VMWare: version? Legal copy? Where did you get VMWare? Website?

Not a malicious entry. Doing such things would not be at all helpful to VMWare and its' user community would respond accordingly.

Basically, the registry change probably reconfigured windows to use the real keyboard versus a virtual keyboard.

Note the use of "vm"'s.

Why the uninstall did not specifically remove or change the registry is unknown. Could be something as simply as just deleting VMWare versus following any formal uninstall process.

Also: you should stay out of the registry. Registry edits are a last resort and should be attempted only after a full system backup including the registry itself.

If there was some sort of bug or error via Windows or VMWare then their eventual fix may undo your edited fix and leave the system bricked.
