Keyboard doesnt stop beeping after new hdd? [Fixed]

So after installing a new hdd into my laptop, a dell vostro 1720, i made a bootable windows 10 usb, but whenever i even touch a key it starts beeping. after logging in it still beeps, but it stops responding to any typing. how is this fixed?
The laptop just needed a new cmos battery, its all good now.
